Summary

Featuring spreads with raised shaped objects that fit into scooped cut-outs on their opposite page, this new TouchThinkLearn book offers the youngest learners an opportunity to explore in a hands-on, multisensory way。 Seeing the image, tracing its shape, saying its name—these modes of perception combine to stimulate understanding of essential concepts。 Discover a monkey and its jungle home by tracing the raised outline on one side, and the concave shape on the other! Related words on each spread offer parents and child a springboard for further conversation to encourage the language skills crucial to later successful learning。 In a format unlike any other, these groundbreaking books translate abstract thought into tangible knowledge。

This was not my favorite。 The "touch" is cut out shapes and not very engaging。 The pictures of animals are easy to identify, it uses a lot of constrasting colors and shapes。 This was not my favorite。 The "touch" is cut out shapes and not very engaging。 The pictures of animals are easy to identify, it uses a lot of constrasting colors and shapes。 。。。more

This is a board book。TouchThinkLearn: Wild Animals showcases many different kinds of animals。 The cute cartoonish illustrations will get kids hooked on wanting to learn more。 That desire for learning will be satisfied by the touch pads inside the book。 Toddlers can touch these to get a sense of what the animal would feel like。 I chose this book because toddlers can interact with it。Featuring spreads with raised shaped objects that fit into scooped cut-outs on their opposite page, this new TouchT This is a board book。TouchThinkLearn: Wild Animals showcases many different kinds of animals。 The cute cartoonish illustrations will get kids hooked on wanting to learn more。 That desire for learning will be satisfied by the touch pads inside the book。 Toddlers can touch these to get a sense of what the animal would feel like。 I chose this book because toddlers can interact with it。Featuring spreads with raised shaped objects that fit into scooped cut-outs on their opposite page, this new TouchThinkLearn book offers the youngest learners an opportunity to explore in a hands-on, multisensory way。 Seeing the image, tracing its shape, saying its name—these modes of perception combine to stimulate understanding of essential concepts。 Discover a monkey 。。。more

Not much plot。 Colorful and great vocab。 What it lacks in story it makes up for in cutouts。

Touch and learn book with raised or indented animals and habitats and descriptive words。For young children and adults。Up to preschool age。Observation:The second page spread is the only page spread that covers two animals - crocodiles and a hippopotamus and some disturbing descriptive words。 Did author Xavier Deneux have a run-in with a hippo at some time in his life?

kim

cute pictures/textures, but the vocab selections are a bit highbrow for a board book with basically no plot

For all those in favour of sensory learning。。。。this series is made especially for you! I found these books to be outstanding。 A lot of thought went into producing these books。。。。they were popular for a range of younger children。。。。。from babies to beginner readers, there was something on each page that they found fascinating。 Great presentation。 Highly recommended
